Control games
Regardless of its accessibility issues, The Old House makes for a truly captivating setting, acting as much as the main character of Control as Jesse is. She's your navigator, your connection to this place, but you only go where the Oldest House allows you to - you only see what it thinks you're ready to see. And even now, some 20 hours spent submerged in Control's world, I am still surprised by what I find lurking in tiny offices and behind previously locked doors — even if I am being driven slowly insane by the portion of the containment sector that I've yet to find a way into.
Maybe that's exactly what The Oldest House wants. But navigating the house is only part of Control's appeal. This is a Remedy game after all, and you wouldn't be here if you weren't utterly intrigued by Control's story. And, oh boy, you're going to want to strap yourself in. Beautiful, but bonkers. Remedy really wasn't messing about when it said Control was allowing it to get strange. Building mystery and intrigue is just part of Remedy's DNA, and Control feels like the studio operating at its very best.
It manages to create a surreal narrative that's capable of making even the ordinary feel extraordinary, turning your standard handgun into a shapeshifting omnitool, and managing to inject life into an everyday office block. It does all that, and casually gives you one of the best gameplay experiences at the same time.
Losing control is part of it, but as Jesse gains more abilities drawn from the Objects of Power, you begin to gain superhero-like status, levitating your way through The Oldest House and pulling slabs of concrete from the walls only to launch them straight into Hiss agents with the force of a freight train.
Mastering all of the various abilities is an exhilarating power trip, adding to the already sky-high appeal of Control. Auto HD High Low. Report a problem. Sorry, but you can't access this content! PlayStation 5. PlayStation 4. I dont know who thought about this map, but it really should be handled differently.
Sometimes you have to figure out that some elevators take you to different places which are of course not marked on your map. After a couple of hours you will get the hang of it and understand the map but this shouldnt be a thing.
Lets get to the story. To be honest I dont know what to tell you about the story, because on the one hand I feel like the story and the characters are really well done but on the other hand I am not sure if i actually understood anything that happened in the game. Its definitely entertaining but not worth a 10 out of At some point int the game I thought i understood the plot and the whole story around it but no Best example would be the whole janitor thing. Graphics and performance: The game looks really good and they definitely put some work into the maps and special effects.
Sometimes the characters look a bit off just like in Quantum Break but thats not a killer for me. Personally i had no problems running the game, but others keep complaining about it.
Thought i should mention that. I am talking about the PC version here but I have seen some framerate tests of the game on ps4 and xbox, where the game falls as low as 12 frames which is simply unacceptable. The physics in this game are very well done, which is probably why the consoles have such a hard time running the game.
Everything you touch, control or run into actually moves accordingly Conclusion: If you like Quantum Break you will definitely like this game aswell. For all others, I would advice to wait for a price drop because I think the game is worth about 40 bucks.
It offers some solid shooter fun for ca. If it werent for that overall confusing story with more or less no real ending and a terrible map, i would give this game a higher score.
Pretty good game, very good face animation with nice story. Shooting was little disapointing. There is nothing bad to say about this game and Pretty good game, very good face animation with nice story. There is nothing bad to say about this game and also nothing revolutionary in this title. Just average. Wait for sale and you can enjoy this game. There is no idea in it. The gameplay is max payne 5.
The Boring. The animation system is awful you run into something and run in a place, as you slide walking, not to mention jumping. Remedy had success without releasing a game in , and that demonstrates a key point for the company. Control Ultimate Edition on PS5 brings out the full potential of the game with faster loading times, a new 60fps performance mode, and a ray tracing graphics mode.
