Review ps3 transformers game

All this publication's reviews. Giant Bomb. It has the right idea with character-specific abilities that help to make the individual Transformers feel different. But it doesn't go far enough in that direction to stand out, and it ultimately feels like it's being held back by its by-the-numbers shooting.

There are some great ideas here, but you'll have to wade through a pretty thick set of drawbacks to enjoy them. User Reviews. Write a Review. Mixed: 1 out of Negative: 1 out of Un capolavoro fenomenale,il miglior videogioco basato su una delle mie serie preferite.

Better and more varied gameplay is clearly obvious and some dramatic moments followed by quiet scenes make this game fresh to play all the way through. Multiplayer is fun and more dynamic in choice of map and robot. Is it better than Arkham City - No. Some minor glitches of falling through scenery and the occasional low-res looking textures are apparent.

It's minor but not what you'd expect from a AAA title. Still the characterisation, story, gameplay and stunning scenery soars this title to one of the best games of the year so far for The Best transformers game now after War for cybertron being the best before! Great Multiplayer and customization options.

Escalation mode is The Best transformers game now after War for cybertron being the best before! Honestly, I'm not sure who Transformers: The Game is going to bother more. Longtime Diaclone fans that have dreaded what the "Hollywood Blockbuster Machine" would do to their beloved robots, or LEGO Star Wars freaks that enjoyed Traveller's Tales ' work on that series with its addictive and charming gameplay.

Can we call it a tie? While it's not a complete disaster, Transformers is a cluttered mess. Despite reminding me of Hulk's Ultimate Destruction with its "obliterate everything" motto and open world design, its quality isn't anywhere near as comparable. Structures crumble and blow up, yes, but they'll do so from even the slightest touch. I can't tell you how many times I walked past buildings with Prime or Ironhide, only to watch those environments fall apart in a fiery heap because I happened to brush against them.

Wreaking havoc is nowhere near as fun when it happens by accident just as frequently as it does on purpose. Transformers' "open world" isn't really that freeform either. When compared to Hulk, Grand Theft Auto, or Activision's own Spider-Man franchise, the environments and mission selection are as small and linear as it gets.

Most of the stages that players explore be it the city, military base, or whatever have only a handful of primary missions and even fewer sub-quests that can be completed with little trouble.

The game also suffers from a number of strangely designed tasks and poor pacing. Take Optimus Prime, for example. The king of all Autobots and a true force to be reckoned with, Optimus is a giant badass with powerful weapons that could take out a small army.

But rather than give players a reason to go out and use his kick-butt arsenal, TT Games neutered the keeper of the Matrix right from the get-go.

There might be more to the movie's plot than what is presented here, and you should really hope there is, because otherwise, we're all in for one exceedingly boring film. With the exception of a few bouts of basic dialogue between Sam and the various Transformers including veteran TV series voice actors Peter Cullen and Frank Welker reprising their roles as Optimus Prime and Megatron with about as much enthusiasm as you could hope for , there's almost no story to drive the game forward.

In some respects that's not surprising, simply because with this method, almost none of the film is spoiled for you. Gigantic robots smashing up a city should be more fun than this. The one potentially interesting thing about Transformers is that it splits the game into two campaigns, with one for each faction.

In the Autobots campaign, you'll play as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Jazz, and others as you hunt for the AllSpark and try to protect Sam, and the rest of humanity, for that matter.

On the flipside, the Decepticons campaign has you playing as Megatron, Starscream, Barricade, and company to track down the AllSpark and destroy the Autobots.

While the opportunity to play as both the good and evil sides sounds enticing, you'll actually find that there's very little difference between the two campaigns. Regardless of which side you pick, you'll be forced to slog through a copious number of missions that have you fighting easy-to-kill grunt Transformers using the same three-hit combo again and again, or racing around one of the game's few, somewhat open-ended environments trying to chase down one Autobot or Decepticon to fight a few times while using the same three-hit combo, as well as an occasional throw attack.

These missions might have been more tolerable if the combat were a little more involved, but as it stands, you just need to mash on the melee attack button to blow through most enemies, and the few that aren't so easy just require a random object from the environment thrown at them to soften them up.

As you are Transformers, you can also transform and roll out as one of several different vehicle types. However, driving is decidedly less fun than running around as a robot, as the cars handle very loosely and tend to get hung up on random environmental objects--which is odd, since when you hit other cars, they just go flying like they're made out of cardboard.

The lone bright spot comes from the Decepticons campaign. In certain missions, you're tasked with simply laying waste to one environment or another. Be it a big city or a sprawling military installation, these environments are fun to destroy. Your weapons fire does a lot of damage to buildings, cars, trees, and any other solid objects nearby.

In the Autobots campaign, you can do the same types of damage, but it's all incidental, since you're ultimately trying to protect humanity--not lay waste to it. On the Decepticons side, your goal is to cause as much chaos as you can, and that can be a good bit of fun. What's neat is the way the destruction and battles are presented--explosions are frequent and large, the damage to buildings looks appropriately massive, and the combat moves you can pull off actually do look cool.

Seeing Optimus running around, double-fisting pistols, and Blackout using his helicopter blades as a sword is pretty awesome. Part of that comes from some solid animation, but it also helps that the Transformer models are so highly detailed. I am impressed, this game is alot of fun, especially for a big transformers fan like myself, im lovin the graphics and the great storyline, along with the details of each transformer. One thing i was upset about the movie is they didnt use mirage and wheeljacks real names but they did in the game, i think mirages was dino and wheeljacks was cube or something like that, but anyways, a few complaints though, their are a few glitches here and there and the other thing is, ive got like an hour playing time into this game and im already on chapter 5!

Transformers dark of the moon great but broken game Dark of the moon is a very fun to play beat up shooter. Theres 7 chapters in the game Transformers dark of the moon great but broken game Dark of the moon is a very fun to play beat up shooter.

Theres 7 chapters in the game all staring a different character from the transformers universe. Every robot handles identically qhich is a shame, but to mix it up, they at least all have different abilities, such as cloak, and health drain.

The game play is very fast paced and action filled, much like the movies levels are very linear and all play out the same basically get to the next spot on the map and take out everything in your way. The gameplay does switch up quite bit though to prevent the 4 hour journey to the credits from feeling like a grind. This game is very unstable though, about halfway through the game starts to lag like the good ole ps2 days. You move faster than the game does, which leads to mid game loads and even crashes.

I experienced 2 game crashes during my playthrough, but luckily checkpoints are frequent enough for me to have not lose any serious progressions. Darok of the moon also features multiplayer mode consisting of deathmatch, team deathmatch and conquest unfortunately I could only ifnd matches in team deathmatch.

Multiplayer is basically rockem sock em robots meets call of duty. Decpticons vs autobots You choose one of the 4 classes and battle to death cap leveling up is quick and the gameplay is surprisingly fun Not addictive enough to keep you playing past the level 20 level cap though Transformers dark of the moon is a really great game, and definitely worth your time … Expand.

Considering the fact that movie tie-in games tend to be gay as aids, the first Transformers Game was probably one of my favourite games on the Considering the fact that movie tie-in games tend to be gay as aids, the first Transformers Game was probably one of my favourite games on the PS2.

I'm a sucker for open-world gameplay, the freedom to do whatever you want wherever you want in a thoroughly non-linear setting, admittedly, there was a lot wrong with the gameplay, but it was just undeniable fun to stomp around mission city as my favourite transformers. So I can understand why good ol' Activision would try and emulate WfC's gameplay style with this offering, simply because War for Cybertron's gameplay style worked, but the thing is, G1 Transformers and Michael Bay Transformers are two very different things, as such the linear and non-linear gameplay styles work for each brand respectively.

That should give you a hint as to where this review is heading. The Campaign is predictable, an equal number of Autobot and Decepticon levels followed by a boss fight. Over the course of these levels, you play as Bumblebee, Ironhide, Mirage Dino in the film. Soundwave with a guest appearance from Lazerbeak , Starscream, Megatron and finally a one-room boss fight between Optimus Prime and Shockwave. Respectable character choices, I think.
