Hands OnThe literal hands-on experience is great. The form factor is the best out there, and the little bit of added weight in the same package adds a feeling of solidity to the handheld.

This one works fine for people with tiny hands that don't cramp easily. The color screen is what the m really has going for it, but in some situations it disappoints. This screen has a built-in light, though, in the form of a sidelight. Rather than illuminating the screen from behind, this shines light across the screen.

Unfortunately, this leaves an air gap between the screen layers, which dust particles can get into. The sidelight magnifies the problem by making the dust stand out, so there are annoying glowing particles under your screen. Not all units have this problem, but both of my review units did, and other users have reported the same.

This means the m is stuck at the low light setting permanently. Outdoors, the visibility is fantastic; nothing washes out with this screen technology.

This means that text and graphics will be somewhat blocky. One of the good things about the screen is the Graffiti area, which now lights up when the screen light is on - very helpful if you like to use your Palm in the dark.
